Here are answers to some frequently asked questions.
What will the band need?
- A reasonable performance area (depends on group size — we will advise.)
- A raised area is preferable but not essential.
- A power socket near the performance area.
- Parking spaces, suitable for the size of band.
- A lockable room in which to change.
- Food and drink.
What will the band wear?
Whatever is suitable — blacks, smart/casual, lounge suits or black tie. We will always discuss dress code.
When will the band play?
Whenever you want, within reason. Typically the band will play two sets of one hour, or three sets of 40 minutes, with breaks in between. The start time must allow at least half an hour (may be 2+ hours for a large band with PA) for setting up before the performance.
Will the band play requests?
If you have a favourite song that you would like the band to play, please let us know in advance and we will try to accommodate you.
Should I inform the venue?
A license for live music is now mandatory, so you must inform the venue. Also, the band need to know if there are restrictions like sound level limiters.
When do I pay?
You pay a 20% deposit on booking and the balance one month before the event.
What if I cancel?
Bands get booked months and years in advance, and so may not be able to re-book your date if you cancel. Our cancellation policy reflects this:
